If you have active and maintained anti-virus and firewall there should not be any issue. Router exploits are done via you pc. And guessing your pc is switched off over night anyway.

Could you clarify that a little. There is no satallite connector on a TalkTalk router. Input to the TT router is from your telephone master socket only.
