sorry to hear your experience with the talktalk chat. your best bet is to call the customer loyality and ask them for the confirmation. has your service gone live yet as normally you will not see the full account till its live. if you ever have bother in future OCE's are a big help in here but on the phone if your not happy ask for a manager who is willing to resolve issue  you have.
