A variety of glitches can sometimes be resolved by a simple soft reset, just press and hold the standby button on the front of the box for about 8 seconds until it reboots.

Touch wood, I've not had to reboot the router to get the TV since. Goes straight through to the channel and no IPC messages. I'll give it a few days before accepting solution. many thanks.

For the past 2 days netflix wont load, nothing else is affected, have tried...

..everyting else is fine ie we can watch Tv, we can use I Player and all the other catch up players. we have tried turning things off/on..any thoughts please as to what the problem with netflix might be ?
