It's disappointing that the problem has yet to be resolved. Out of interest what is the date of your latest software updates for both boxes.

I just received a text from TallkTalk saying they had completed their tests and an update was coming.
I just tested on my HumaxH and it's working again!

Hi,
It's not actually a TV issue you have, it's a broadband or line issue.
The attenuation on your line is high, and the speeds have dropped to about 1.5mb, so too low for TV.
Can you check the home phone line and tell me if there is a clear dial tone, or if there is any noise or crackling on the line.

Am currently at work so not at the address however hadn't noticed speed had dropped that low (its normally around the 16mb mark) I did use the phone this morning and all appeared ok/clear. I have turned the modem on/off a lot in the past 24hrs in an attempt to solve.
Failed recordings
Please help! Have retuned TV, turned things on and off. Everything seems ok but my recordings are failing and have been for about a week!!

Hi,
somethings changed after 7pm last night. Your downstream attenuation has gone from 11db to 68db.
When home, can you get everything unplugged from the socket, and if you have a test socket, just connect the router & filter and run a quick speed test and see if the speed is still low?
if the line is clear but still poor speeds, then we need to consider if there is an issue with the router or line?

That sounds about right timewise as turned over to sky sports to watch the Mosconi Cup pool when noticed it wasnt working. It doesn't have a test socket but will try unplugging everything else tonight, I think I also have a spare older router which I can try on it.

Hardwired, with good quality HDMI cable, and no surround sound system connected.
Happens at totally random times, can be on for hours then suddenly occur, or when first switched on.
Feel this must be a box problem, as "re-booting it" by switching off at the back and then on again cures the problem. Simply putting the box into stand-by mode and then back on again doesn't.

Checked it out when got home and the current router was indeed connected at 1.4mb
Have switched the router with a different one I had around and straight away it connected back at 18mb and everything working ok so looks like that was the issue. Is it possible to get another router from Talk Talk or should I just continue using this slightly older one?

No access to talk talk player
Evening guys,
I've been with talk talk for 3 weeks now and am still unable to access the talk talk player? It asks me to sign in with my first and last names and password (created when I rang customer services). I've never rang customer services, the 3 guys I've spoken to on webchat weren't able to resolve and my escalated incident which was due to be dealt with in 48hrs has been 2 weeks with no response.
Has anyone seen this before?? I've changed the customer service password on my account online but it still doesnt recognise it on the talk talk player.
I've also noticed my router HG633 is still on V1.15t when according to the help page the up to date software is V1.21t. Could this be stopping my box validating the credentials if it wont acess the internet? If I let the credentials fail a few times I get a ttg-228 error on the youview box

My box was fixed by the engineer, I had already done a maintenance reset (keeping recordings) and a internet reset (keep recordings) but they didn't help.
The engineer that come out said it needed a full reset wiping all the recordings ! A pain losing all recordings but it did work and box is back to normal 😀

Hi.. yes it's connected to an external aerial. I have never used the freeview on my tv as I've always had sky - I'll give that a go tomorrow and then take it from there. Thank you for replying :-)

Glad you are sorted....mine is fixed also but wasn't a TT fault....was in my home....I have a hg635 router connected to a Unifi Gateway USG...I thought I had setup whereby the usg was passing multicast and hence watch sky 1 , sports etc....seems it doesn't support igmp and multicast so when I plugged the TT Tv box into the hg635 router it worked straight away...so for anyone adding further firewalls make sure they support multicast!
