Have you pressed ok to  setup on one if your subscription channels? Your not charged twice you need to do this every time you add a boost so the box can be configured for the channels

If your old router was faulty and showing errors to BT's line management system there is a good chance that DLM (Dynamic Line Management) would have reduced your speed to try and stabilize the line...
