unplugged the router and the youview box and left for a couple of hours and they are all working.
youview seems a little sluggish but i shall monitor.

The ISP Configuration is good so the router reboot probably triggered the passing of the Multicast packets to the TV Box. All should remain good so long as your broadband speeds are above 5Mbps just considering the TV stream in isolation to any other internet usage.
If the TV Box appears unresponsive then a soft reset is usually the best option. Press and hold the front panel on/standby button for around 8 seconds until the front panel lights change and the box resets.
The Premium channels have popped-up this afternoon.
Any idea what the problem was so maybe we can avoid it in the future ?
We now have 2 routers, do you need one of them returning ?

Hi,
My talk talk tv box has stopped working properly. Every time a scheduled recording tries to record, it fails. Every time a manual recording is attempted, it fails. Every time a previous successful recording is attempted to be played, it displays a black screen.
I have tried the soft reset and the hard reset using the maintenance method (switch off, hold +/- buttons and reset box with keep recordings).
Can you please advise what the next step is? The hard drive still has about 20% capacity free and the signal strength is fine.

Hi, I've had a Hauwei DN372T since April 2017. The box constantly emit a low humming noise and when I put my hand on the top centre of the box it feels quit e warm. It also feels like thehard drive is constantly spinning. I'm just wondering whether this is normal for the box to act like this?
My Talk Talk box keeps freezing when I fast forward recordings (adverts and so on). Is there any way to overcome this. It means that I have to exit the recording and restart the programme.

Freeview channels can sometimes be lost due to a number of reasons, such as a miss aligned aerial, poor reception or switching between transmitters, as well as transmitter maintenance. Even in good signal areas issues often happen. I myself lost all BBC channels last year, and these did not return for about 5 days. Nothing to do with any provider etc, this was on a freeview TV direct to a roof aerial, and I'm in a really good signal area.
If you have a standalone freeview TV, connect your aerial direct to the TV and retune and see if the channel is available. This can help test to see if it is a freeview issue.

We do not configure your account to any device. We simply provide the signal and you plug in whichever router you have.
Did the engineer test another router at all ? Is the Humax connected directly with a cable ?

If you have tried a full reset keping recordings and this still will not work, the only option short of replacing the box is to fully reset via the menu and this will wipe and reformat the hard drive. If this has become corrupt in some way this may be the only option.

The new box can work without an aerial for the Internet content such as the Sky channels.
Some on demand content will not work for example, ITV and All4 players use the freeview region information to deliver the correct content.

It is normal for a little nose from the hard drive as it is in use. Also, the box will get warm from the internal components. As long as the box has a good air flow around it, this is ok.

Have you powered off via the button at the back for a few minutes.
If you have and it still exhibits this behaviour, try a Youview Maintenance Reset(Option 4: Keep Recordings).
Please note any future scheduled recordings will be lost and will have to be rescheduled.

Well, I had 24 hours of Sports, which I suppose is better than nothing.
Unfortunately it has stopped working again.
Came home at lunchtime and the channels are blank again.
This is now getting REALLY annoying.

I'll flag this now. I did hold off on closing the issue as I wanted to be sure, the the fault is still with networks so I'll update to say this has failed and to keep looking at this.
