New tv+ Customer
Hi,
I've just signed up for the tv+ package having been on the standard broadband package for the last 18 months.
I've received and connected my box, using power line adaptors plugged directly to the wall.
I only get freeview channels. Nothing else works, I get different error codes each time. Including IPC6002, IPC6023, IPC6011 and TTG-200.
I have tried resetting everything and still nothing. Should I have been given a new router as well as tv+ box? I've also updated to 'Fast' broadband. Speed test comes in at 11mbs.
Any help would be appreciated.

Been on phone to TalkTalk. 30 minute wait. Then put through to some indian chap spoke for 45 mins and checked the line. Internet was back and running for a whopping 15 minutes and been off again since 5 oclock . Rang up again got another Indian chap who wouldn't even listen and constantly spoke over me. He asked what the problem was when I begin he speak over the top of me. I say excuse me for 5 minutes, he stops. I say how can you fix the problem if you don't listen to what the problem is. He then tells me 65 pounds For engineer, I tell him that is unacceptable.

I appreciate this may be due to the Hack experienced yesterday as we have the affected router. Will try again this evening.

I have exactly the same proble. I always have to re-set my password to get onto the forum, then the next time I log on with the password it doesn't recognise me. I use Chrome.
Hope this gets sorted - I'll keep an eye on this discussion to see if a solution is found.

Are you using a password manager? if so, before you try to log in, can you manually clear the entry for the community.
Also what way are you signing in. there are 2 sign in buttons on the homepage, does this happen with both options.

Re: Has anyone received the new Next-Gen software today?
I had it downloaded yesterday and now nothing works; total disaster.
To begin with the new screen layout (tiles) appeared, and then when I checked my recording nothing that was recorded yesterday would pay back, I simply got a grey screen. Tried to reboot and it simply goes to the 'Nearly Ready' screen which remains indefinitely. A second reboot and left it over night to 'Run' and this morning it was still running.
I have now used the Maintenance and recovery scenario, the result a message; System Recovery Error' and now it’s just sitting there with the message 'Nearly Ready'. So now I can’t record/access any of my recordings, view any of the TV channels, I-players, Netflix etc.
I just wish they would leave things as they were.
I have raised a new thread which has not, as yet appeared, on here. I have a D-Link 3780 router; don’t know whether this has had any impact.

Hi, No I don't use a password manager so no issue there.
I've just tried to sign in and, of course, this time it worked perfectly. It may be that I was signed in just minutes ago and the system retained my info. I'll try again in a day or so and see if it is still OK.
Incidentally, once I've signed in there doesn't seem to be an easy way to find my posts. Am I missing something obvious?

I can't get any sky channels etc keeps asking me to put name and last 4 numbers of account in but then comes up with sorry there was a problem try again later has now been 24 hours can't get any free view channels either so stuck with no telly

I had this problem as well. Spent an hour on Online Chat without success. However during the Chat I was asked about Hidden Channels. As far as I knew hidden channels were only about channels received by the aerial which is what I told agent. However after the Chat I decided to reselect all the hidden channels. Eureka! Up popped all the channels for the boost. Once I'd hidden all the rubbish (in my opinion) channels I was able to watch my Sky Sports and Cinema Boosts.

TalkTalk need to add this advice to their scripts for the Technical Help agents and it would certainly be useful if it appeared on their website.
new TV Appointment engineer
Hi everyone! I only want ask if someone can help me, i tried by chat and phone more than 2 hours with TalkTalk and I can`t solve a problem with the engineer. He must come to install my TV box today and he called only to said me he can't come at time because he has another jobs. I tried solve this with TalkTalk and they didn't give me any new appointment. I only want my service active at home and I don't want pay any fee because is the engineer fault.

i too am having the same problems having updated my contract to now have the entertainment channels I have constant pixelating and IPC 6023. This is constantly happening since my update to include paid sky channels
