Re: Huwei box

My box died about 3 weeks ago.

I was given a date for monday just gone ( 18th) but got a text say they couldn't come, so I rang the call centre and got a new date for today (21st 3-6pm) but early this morning I got another text cancelling that.

So, I rang Customer service and spoke to Raymond in Indonesia somewhere. He gave me a new appointment of 12-3pm today (i.e. Earlier than the one that was cancelled).

Now, I am an engineer for a pump company and can happily tell the the STB is knackered. So, all I really want is for Royal Mail (they come every day at about 9am) to bring me a new STB, I can just about manage to plug in the power and the Co-Ax.

I don't need to spend £50+ for a Brightspark to do that. As my WiFi, Amazon Fire Stick etc are all working fine I don't need or want some bloke to start ferreting about under my stairs to check Broadband speeds, "Calibrate my broadband (Raymonds term)" etc etc.

So, I am still paying my monthly fee, haven't had the use of a STB for about 3 weeks, have had 2 appts cancelled and Raymond trying to justify why I can't plug and play.

So, hence I am really cheesed off with TalkTalk, and just want to talk to someone locally that knows where Cornwall is and doesn't try to invent reasons why I need to be charged for an engineer I dont want.

Rant over!
