I've always been under the impression that TalkTalk do not offer, nor support, a secondary STB.  Your post seems to suggest otherwise so I seek clarification on this, please.

AS far as I am aware, the Essentials STB was originally to be designated as a secondary STB at its inception as Charles Dunstone alluded to, however it was decided that this STB would be marketed as a non-recordable and more affordable option in its own right and not as a secondary option since not all customers would be able to avail themselves due to sybc rate in some places, lack of fibre coverage and potential issues with multicast.
