Can you log into the router and change one of the wireless network names of the 2 channels.

For example, on my router I have changed the 2ghz wifi channel name to Home2ghz and the 5ghz wifi channel name to Home5ghz.  This keeps the 2 channels separate as this can cause some devices to drop the connection trying to switch between the 2 channels.

After this, try changing the wifi channel settings manually. I usually try channel 7 or 11 for the 2ghz channel and 44 or 48 for the 5ghz channel.

Give this a try and see if this improves the wireless connection.
