Re: New Powerline Wifi adapter will not connect to Router (and/or pair with transmitter?)

Dear Debbie

The replacements arrived promptly and I am returning the original set in the bag provided.

Unfortunately the replacement wifi unit  will not pair with the router either. The lights do indicate they are paired with each other.

First I tried with the transmitter and receiver in the same room as the router, on different sockets about 3m apart.  Then I tried them both on the same double socket.   The green flashing light on the wifi unit showed it was searching for the wifi, but it failed to pair with the router after I pressed the WPS button on the router for 3 secs as per instructions.

It seems likely therefore that the problem lies with the router - maybe it is not sending out a signal when the WPS button is pressed.

The fact is that I can do without extending the wifi signal, so I now propose that I give up on this , return the replacement wifi adapter pair and that you  replace these instead  with a standard "non-wifi" pair of powerline adapters, and refund the price difference.
