Hi Kevin,

the 6023 errors are generic connection errors and can have so many root causes, so there is no one simple fix.  It's a bit like saying there is a fix for a dropping broadband connection.

The 6023 error just indicates the connection has dropped between the box and the server. This can be caused by things such as a low SNR (Signal to Noise Ratio) margin on the line due to an incorrect profile setting, A faulty router or incorrect router settings. Poor cabling or loose cabled between box and router, unfiltered devices, noise on the line, network issues, poor speeds etc etc. In addition, there can also be server setting issues, port issues at the exchange, configuration of the multicast protocol on the MSAN etc, So as you can see, there is no one single cause for the 6023 error.  Add to this the use of powerline adapters, and if these are not set up correctly or used in extension leads that can reduce performance, this can increase the number of possible causes.

Thanks

Karl.
