You mention you connect the box to the router with a cable to get the on demand players, is the box not permanently connected to the router ?

If not, that will be the problem. The box does need to be connected to receive internet channels but more importantly, it needs to be connected when the update is ran. An automatic update check is done each night for software updates. When this happens, it also checks the entitlements and sets a flag on the box to show the internet channels in the guide.If the box is not connected, the flag will not be set and so no channels show in the guide.

Can you connect the box and run the software update manually.
