Thats the thing. YouView doesn't do timer recordings. It records things by the actual show as listed in the TV guide, and also has smart tech that recognizes when a show actually starts and ends, to make sure it doesnt chop off the start or end of the show when recording if the channel is running a little early or late.
Very few TV Recorders have 14 day TV guides, though some do exist. The reason is that there are usually so many inaccuracies and the listings are often changed up to 7 days in advance.
The good thing is that YouView lets you go back 7 days to catch up on shows on demand too. Which theoretically means you don't have to miss up to 14 days worth of TV, if you record the first week, and then get the second week of TV on demand instead.
