Is there a phone number where I can speak to someone in the UK please?

I'd had problems with my YouView box in the past month and contacting TalkTalk has been a far from pleasant experience. Like holding on for about 45 minutes and repeating myself several times - then being cut off. The second call was a BIT better but like the first, the person's command of the English language wasn't that good (better than the first one though). I still ended up with an Open Reach engineer for a problem with YouView. Result? I had to wait until 8 January for a Bright Sparks engineer. Happy NOT cos I missed all my recordings over Christmas/New Year!!!

 

So, 8 January engineer arrives, changes the box (I lose ALL my old recordings) and think that's it sorted. Nope! If the TV is switched off for any length of time, it reverts to normal telly which ain't good. Fair enough, it doesn't take that long to come back on but it SHOULDN'T be happening!!! That aside, the sound is terrible and we definitely didn't have THAT problem before. We have to turn volume WAY up to hear programmes properly.

 

Apart from all that, I was deeply insulted by a follow-up phone call I received the other day. After repeating myself umpteen times (that old "language" problem again) and trying to get the guy to understand the problems I'd been having, he turned around and asked me if I'd used my buttons on the remote to check sound. I went mental! To anger me further, I received a text 45 minutes later saying they couldn't contact me by phone. So I imagined it then?

 

I'm sorry for being so long-winded but I am so fed up and only have about 8 days to get this sorted.
