Setting primary TalkTalk Youview box

Hello

 

I bought a second YouView box about a year ago to use with a second TV in my home.

 

When I installed it, Talktalk interpreted it as the primary box and, because my daughter wanted to watch Sky1 as a boost channel on the main TV set, I had to call TalkTalk to have the boxes switched around. It all worked fine.

 

Now, however, I want to use the second box as my primary box. It's a newer model and much faster when it comes to using the guide etc. I've disconnected the first box completely. I no longer need it but when I try to add the Sky1 channel, I get a message about it being an additional box etc etc.

 

I spent about an hour today talking to the technical support team who got me to switch off routers, stand on my head (ok, made that up), unplug various bits of equipment (I did my best to explain that it was just a setting at their end that needed to be adjusted). In the end, we agreed to give up.

 

I can see threads on here where people have had had similar requests for help and someone from TalkTallk has fixed the issue for them.

 

So, over to you, TalkTalk. What information do you need from me to effect the change?
