Hi,
I have recently added the sky sports boost to my package with talktalk and have not been able to view any of the channels. I get the IPC6023 error when attempting to view the channels.
I use a talktalk HG633 router and the broadband is working fine. I'm on fibre so have at least 40Mb on download speed.
I can view bbc iplayer and other on demand services using my current setup (powerline adaptors are linking the router to the youview box) on my talktalk youview box without problems.
I have tried the usual fixes:
1) software on the router has been upgraded
2) i've reset the box and router
3) enabled OCE 'multicast' on the router
4) I've also tried modifying the IP and DNS details on the router as suggested on other posts
None of these fixes have worked.
I use Netgear powerline adaptors to link the youview box to the router. I tried moving these to be plugged straight into the mains as opposed to being attached to a powerlead extension. We have a new house so wiring is good and as explained previously we have no problems with viewing other on demand services using this setup.
Finally, as a last resort I've bypassed the powerline adaptors running a very long network cable from the router to the youview box. This has fixed the problem although is completely impractical with two you infants in the house as the cable is routed down the stairs and across a couple of rooms. I’m not going to take up the carpets or drill through the ceiling to link the router to the TV box.
So my question is are there any other settings or things i can try to get the Sky channels working with my powerline adaptors? The house is new so wiring quality should be good. Its also good enough for HD BBC iplayer and other on demand services. The Netgear powerline adaptors are also only 18months old.
Is there a minimum standard for powerline adaptors to work with these Sky channels or any other things I can try?
Should I buy some new powerline adaptors? If so why will these ones new ones work when there doesn’t appear to be a problem with my existing ones with most TV services except the Sky channels,
Thanks,
Duncan
