Hi,
If your using a netgear router, this could be the problem. IPTV channels use a multicast protocol (IGMP) and not all routers support this, or have thie enabled by default.
For non talktalk routers, I usually give the following advice :
If you are using a non TalkTalk router and also have our Youview TV service, this may not work correctly if your own router is not set to use IGMP.
IGMP are the multicast packets (TV Data) that need to be passed along to the youview box for the internet channels. Not all routers support this.
You can log into your router, and check the settings to see if there are any options to configure IGMP. If there are, you should enable IGMP Proxy, and set this to use IGMP V2/V3. If there is an option for IGMP Snooping this should also be enabled.
Some routers may require that you add a connection configuration, usually under the Network or WAN settings :
Broadband & YouView add the following PVC
(this enables support for streaming video using IGMP - IPTV)
VPI="0"
VCI="65"
QoS="ubr"
Encapsulation="1483 Bridged Only LLC"
BridgeType="PPP"
If there are any options for IGMP Proxy / Snooping, these should also be selected.
After configuration is changed and saved, reboot router and YouView box and retest.
Thanks
Karl.
