Hi.
I'm thinking of switching back to Talktalk from EE, and have been looking at the TV packages. When I went through the packages a month or so ago, I was able to opt for either of the TV packages. But when I do the same now, it is adding fibre to the package as the line speed is supposedly too slow, which it wasn't previously.
Have things changed at Talktalk over the last month to cause this? If not, it looks like fibre upgrades are being forced on new customers that don't necessarily need them.
I currently use a secondhand Youview box and have no speed issues with the catchup players or NowTV. I am using the EE broadband which I believe is the same network as Talktalk so presumably a similar speed.
If any Talktalk staff read this, are you able to tell me how I can sign up for the TV Plus package online at my own risk, as I am confident the speed will be sufficient?
