Hi All
WOW
Well what else can I say about the latest on the TT homepage !!!!!!
"As you know, we recently wrote to you promising you a free upgrade to your package. It’s our way of saying thank you for standing by us during the recent cyber attack on our website.
You can now choose your free upgrade, which means you’ll soon be enjoying even more value from TaIkTaIk. Best of all, you won’t have to pay a penny as this one's on us."
As a TV plus customer this just about sums up the TT attitude to it's loyal customers :
1) TV channels FOR 3 MONTHS !! Whoopee, but, The only real option, BUT guess what !!!!! Clicking it gives NO details.!!!!!
2) Value SIM, They keep telling me this is already part of my deal if I want it !!!
3) Unlimited Calls, I believe that I already have this as part of package, apart from calls to mobiles. My mobile gives me 800 mins and I don't even use 500 mins !!!!
4) A visit by one of their WONDERFUL engineers !!! Last time I had one round to change the box I showed him 3 things that he was not aware of !!!!!
Whilst my BANK details were not apparently accessed, my personal details were I.E. Name, Address, DOB, Phone Numbers ETC. AND I WONDER WHAT ELSE !!!!!
I have gone through about 4 shredders attempting to ensure that precisely this info doesn't fall in to the hands of the scumbags. !!!
These "LOYALTY" rewards are nothing short of an insult to the customers who have had their details compromised. Notifying the Bank and Credit Card companies makes the banking details worthless, if not dangerous to use, BUT, Addresses ETC. can BE USED TO GAIN FULL FAKE IDENTITIES. !!!!!!
ALL of these, if not better, offers are already being offered by yourselves !!!
For those of us whose security has ACTUALLY been compromised, to be offerred a TRUE gesture such as a FREE upgrade to fibre with no installation charges or changes to contract for say 2 years or 2 years of a free extra boost again without contract changes would be more like it. I feel that turning this debacle in to a marketing campaign is totally despicable !!!
Whilst initially this may COST Talktalk a minimal amount, the loyalty to the brand would be vastly increased, thus ensuring the growth and high retention of your customers.
Whilst it doesn't affect me as my contract has run it's course, forcing AFFECTED customers to stick to their contract term is, in my opinion a great mistake as, a disgruntled customer is, in my experience, more of a liability than an asset. !!!!
