I have now spoken to TalkTalk (Calcutta) to try and get an engineer back. No way. I was told to get my own technician and (inspite of what I was told when I was 'sold' this package, the BrightSpark people will do no more than connect the YouView Box and not any other equipment. I am appalled at this level of 'no' customer service. Other customers take note. No one is ever accountable, no-one bothers to look after customers, you are sent all round the globe and cannot understand what they say, the whole organisation (losely speaking) is a shambles. I asked for my contract in writing at the beginning of November - I am still waiting. Some of the call centres claim they were not allowed to write emails. This from a communication company! I give up!
I am sorry I cannot say that the advice given here has resolved the problem as it hasn't. But it has helped and I thank those of you who have answsered my query. I still don't know what should be plugged into what and how I would then access the DVD Recorder so I suppose I will have to get my own technician in. Thanks anyway.
