engineer charge

Well.......after finally thinking i was happy with my service after months of issues they now charge me £65 for an engineer who visited on the 3rd of September.

I usually always go with sky TV ...I have for years but then the landlord of my new property said 'No satelite dish' to go on my recently painted property...So I needed something different. My first inkling was Virgin (And how i wish i did!) but decided to look around. Talk Talk looked reasonable so i decided to give it a go....Broadband, Phone and TV package with Sky sports and a few other upgrades. My Internet was slow and TV always pixalating but was told online to expect this the first week or 2. By the time August came and it was no better I spent days on the phone trying to sort it out. I was palced on long hold times, Cut off on more than one occasion but eventually had an engineer come out, He told me he couldnt help so they booked a BT engineer who came and the problem was rectified short term then persisted, He said cable may help but the phone line seemed unstable (I dont have a land line plugged in). I decided to plump for fibre hoping it would help and it did! I have had a near perfect service since the engineer came in September...Intenet....TV....all good.

Then i checked my December bill and i thought it was high so itemised the bill to see the charge!! when i called them i was told the charge would stay as the fault my in the house, Now the engineer told me all he did was to disconnect all other ports around the house to try and get a better signal but it was still not working until i got the fibre sorted and he told me there would be no charge.

Basically i have paid an extra £10 pm for the fibre just to get a service i didnt have (but paid for in full) for 5 months and now talk talk have the audacity to charge me!

I have requested a SAR request and esculated to a complaint and i was told i would be called back within 48 hours...Needless to say this has not happened.

As a manager in a call center for a company employing over 6000 staff this service repulses me, I havnt even mentioned the fact my personal data could be sold on the black market too.

by the looks of it this sort of practise is par for the course and by the time the FOS have finished with them we will see about my charge after I have spent money for service that didnt work, More money on endless phone calls and more money again on fibre just to make it work.

Nothing short of a shambles Talk Talk.
