Currently looking at the box / screen which is wired directly to the router (in order to eliminate the powerline adaptors) and the IPC6023 message is there. Can see that the software for the box was last updated on 1st December, so wonder whether this is the cause of the issue?
Will look to raise my own post in order for a OCE assistance, but will follow yours with interest brianhillard.

I'm hoping the network team get this fixed.
I'm thankful I have the TallkTalk Player with Sky On Demand to watch the programmes that are currently failing during recording due to the error. I too have the basic Sky Channels and that's the ones I have lost.
