Re: How many engineers does it take to fix my fibre broadband?

Hi Debbie.  The new router arrived today and is fitted and working correctly.  The previous one kept disconnecting itself, if you so much as moved a cable slightly or the router itself, so may have had something loose inside the casing.   The engineer due on Monday, found an earlier slot and has been today.

So - This is the work that has been completed to try to rectify the fault , which has been ongoing since "going live" 7th April.

4 engineer visits, each one checking the previous engineers work

A complete and thorough check of the internet outside my house from the street cabinet to the master socket

A complete change of all the equipment in my house, including Master socket, router, connecting cables, powerline adapters and the Youview box.

The TV engineer today, connected another new Youview box and powerline adapters  and found they made no difference so the existing ones were re-connected.

Conclusion - I have a fast and reliable fibre boadband service and there is nothing wrong with any of the equipment that delivers it.  However, even though the Youview box detects the router and acknowledges the internet connection, I am still unable to receive the extra channels I subscribe to.  I can get all the on demand players but cannot watch any live internet channels ie Sky1.

Surely someone at TalkTalk, must agree this has to be something to do with how my account has been set up, since switching to fibre?
