Yes - I have timed it and this IS NOT an exaggeration! We are not regular TV watchers - perhaps no more than two or three times a week when there is a specific programme we want to watch (and are able to plan ahead for the switch on process!) We switch on, using the remote. When the TV comes into life, we select HDMI1 input, and attempt to switch on the Youview box. After several minutes of black screen we get "TalkTalk - waking up". This is displayed for several minutes before the screen goes black again, then "Youview - please wait" - several minutes more. Then a few minutes of black screen, then "Youview - nearly ready", then black screen, then the most annoying message "Tip - adjust eco-mode in settings for faster start-up time", then black screen, then "nearly ready", then another black screen, then "please wait" - we got a new one yesterday - "updating software" - that was displayed for a full ten minutes!
Surely this cannot be right! Can someone help me before we throw the youview box through the stupid television screen!
