Over Christmas our YouView box stopped recording scheduled and live programmes. This seemed to coincide with a software update that at first failed to install but has now installed ok. Recordings however are still failing across all channels.
I have gone through the diagnostics suggested by the talktalk admins - doing a hard re-boot by taking the power out and restarting after a few minutes, followed by a huawei maintenance mode reset (option 4). Neither have resolved the issue.
I have spoken with talktalk customer services, they have advised the next available appointment for an engineer to replace the box is mid February, over a month away!
Does anyone have any suggestions what I can do to fix the problem myself as I don't want to wait that long without being able to record!
