Same sort of problem here too:
On 11 December I upgraded my TalkTalk account to include broadband and TV. This was a Christmas present for my wife and I was promised delivery of router and TV box within 3 - 5 working days and was told that it would be live as soon as router and TV were plugged in. After waiting in house for 3 days awaiting delivery I phoned on Friday to enquire about non-delivery within the promised timeframe. I was shocked to be told that the order for the router had only been passed to the appropriate department that day and the TV box would not be sent out until the router was installed and was operational. I was told that the live date was 28th December and the router should arrive before them. So much for the 3 - 5 day delivery promise and so much for my wifes Chritmas present!! I said that this was ttotally unacceptable and that I could go into Stirling and make arrangement for Sky or BT to provided the same package and have it operational within 24 hours. Being a loyal TalkTalk customer I was prepared to accept the delay in connection on the proviso that the router and TV box are delivered before Christmas so I can give them to my wife on Christmas morning. I was told that everything would be done to ensure this would be the case but I wont hold my breath. PLEASE PLEASE help spread the Christmas cheer and ensure my order is delivered before Christmas - afterall you did promise 3 - 5 days so surely you can deliver within 2 weeks of receiving an order.
